Body Work
Needles are not necessary to experience the benefits of Traditional East Asian Medicine and acupuncture.

Acupressure
We offer acupressure body work where your acupuncture points and channels are worked with using pressure instead of needles using the same in-depth theories and diagnostics that we use with acupuncture. Many aspects of oriental medicine are not needle specific such as cupping, gua sha, moxa and lifestyle and dietary therapies.

Acutonics
We also use tuning forks on the points which is called Acutonics®.  Sound vibrations are carefully chosen for their desired effect on specific acupuncture points.  A wonderful treatment on it's own or in combination with other therapies

Chi Nei Tsang
A gentle yet transformative abdominal massage that really gets to the root of the problem.  Most ailments (even tight muscles) have to do with your organs, and all the acupuncture channels run through the abdomen making Chi Nei Tsang an amazing healing tool for anyone that has gone through the stress of living.  Get your lymph clear, your skin refreshed and your organs revitalized, all while learning a lesson you can take home and practice on your own for years or decades of optimum health.  Sarah has studied Chi Gung with Lee Holden and Mantak Chia for 9 years and had the opportunity tolearn Chi Nei Tsang with Mantak Chia himself.  Here is a description from the Chi Nei Tsang offical site:

Chi, the life-force energy, moves through the body’s internal channels, nervous system, blood vessels, and lymph glands. These systems concentrate and cross paths in the abdomen, which acts as their control center. Tensions, worries, and stresses of the day, month, or year accumulate and are seldom dispersed. ‘These disturbances can cause physical tangling and knotting of the nerves, blood vessels, and lymph nodes. The result is gradual obstruction of energy circulation, which may lead to any number of maladies including, but not limited to, indigestion, constipation, bloating, insomnia, whole body toxicity, poor skin quality, and an inability to lose weight.

Essential Oils
Essential oil therapy topically on acupuncture points, including treatments you can take home.

"The essence of the plant treats the essence of the person" — Jeffrey C. Yuen.

Essential oils have a profound effect on our deepest issues and our oldest diseases. They are a wonderful way to treat children or adults without the use of needles. They can be a treatment on their own or can be used on specific acupoints for a deep and long lasting effect. This form of treatment is usually followed up on at home by the patient, who learns some specific points and uses the oils that were prescribed for him or her.

Massage
Sarah has had a variety of massage trainings over the past 18 years. Today she melds her skills to use bodywork as an adjunct to Oriental Medicine treatments or as a sole treatment for some conditions. The form of massage used most commonly with Oriental Medicine is Tui Na, which ranges from a vigorous deep tissue massage with passive stretches to Yin Tui Na, which involves gentle holds to help your body release old holding patterns and long-term tension. Yin Tui Na is especially effective for broken bones in or out of a cast. Yin Tui Na is also used to treat Parkinson's Disease
